Birtudes Baga Rosé Sparkling Wine

Birtudes Baga Sparkling Wine – Bairrada sparkling wine made exclusively from the Baga grape variety using the traditional method. With fine, persistent bubbles, it combines aromas of fresh red fruit, citrus notes, and delicate hints of brioche. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness, creamy mousse, minerality, and elegant, lingering finish. A versatile sparkling wine with excellent food-pairing potential that expresses the authentic character of Bairrada.

Grape variety:

100% Baga

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were gently whole-cluster pressed, and the 
must naturally decanted for 24 hours without chilling. The first fermentation began
spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks.  
The second fermentation was carried out using the Traditional Method in 750ml bottles, 
where the base wine fermented and aged for 24 months on the lees. 
The disgorgement was done without the addition of dosage.

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Soft pink colour.

Aroma: notes of red fruit and quince.

Palate:  fine bubbles, with great freshness and creaminess.

Food Pairing:

Pairs well with fish dishes and roasted meats.

The Birtudes project was launched in 2023 and is dedicated to producing low-intervention wines, with a focus on the Baga grape variety. The name "Birtudes" is a tribute to Tia Virtudes, while the replacement of the "V" with a "B" refers to the Bairrada accent. The producer works about 5 hectares of vineyard, spread across several plots, seeking to express the character of each terroir.
