Quinta da Palmirinha is a small vineyard (about 3 hectares) located in the Sousa Valley, Felgueiras municipality, in the Vinho Verde region of Portugal, known for its pioneering approach to biodynamic agriculture. It was restructured in 1994 and replanted with regional grape varieties: Azal, Loureiro, and Arinto.

Its owner, Fernando Paiva, began working directly with this vineyard in 2000. That same year, he received training in conventional viticulture, and in 2001, he began attending various courses in Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture. It was in this context that he had the privilege of meeting renowned experts in organic and biodynamic viticulture, such as Pierre Masson, Daniel Nöel, Daniel Pasquet, and Nicolas Joly.

With the support of João Castella, he learned to apply Biodynamic Preparations, which led to him obtaining Demeter Certification in 2007.

Winemaking is done in the winery on the estate, with semi-automatic equipment. Fermentations proceed slowly, with temperature control; no enzymes or exogenous yeasts are used. These are very fresh and aromatic wines and, above all, very natural.
