Aged for 2 years in Hungarian oak barrels.

Quinta do Barranco Longo was founded in 2001 by Rui Virgínia, at Casa Agrícola do Algoz, in the municipality of Silves. In a region where wines had lost recognition, Rui Virgínia initiated a project with the goal of revitalizing local viticulture and producing high-quality wines.

With 120 hectares of land , 20 hectares of which are vineyards planted in clay-limestone soils, the farm adopts sustainable agricultural practices and modern winemaking techniques. The farm's portfolio includes a variety of white, red, and rosé wines, notably labels such as "KO Late Harvest," a dessert wine that reflects the farm's commitment to quality and innovation.

Viticulture in the Algarve has deep roots, dating back over 2,500 years. The Algarve wine sector has experienced a renaissance in recent years, with the revitalization of traditional grape varieties such as Negra Mole, Castelão, Síria, and Arinto, and the pursuit of quality wines that reflect the region's unique character.
